Gone to the Dogs {San Jacinto Pet Photography}

This was my first all-pet Mini-Session this season, and we had lots of fun!

It’s my pleasure to introduce you to Little Bit, Liberty, and Maggie.

These precious pups are part of Debb & Craig’s lives, each rescued and welcomed into the family.  Each is sweet and VERY loved!!

We had a grand time being creative with our distractions in my studio- three active little dogs don’t stay still together for long!

(Needless to say, I think they had their fill of doggie treats for quite a while! :) )

Liberty (on the far left above) has some liver problems and it’s not certain how much longer she’ll be able to pal around with the others.  Another thing I really love about being a photographer is helping people cherish the time they have, whether short or long, with the ones they love.  As time goes by, I hope Debb & Craig will have some extra special treasures by which to remember this time in the life of their sweet little family.

Last but not least, a fun little creation for you, Debb & Craig, based on our time outside in the car…

Enjoy, and I’ll see you soon for your View & Order Session!

When Time Stood Still : Princesses for a Day {Children’s Studio Photography}

Last month I got to be a princess!  Well, not really, but I was showered with the delight that bubbles up out of princesses :) .  Melanie contacted me a while before Christmas to see if she could set up a photoshoot to surprise her Mom for Christmas.  The fun of it was that Melanie’s daughters and niece would be wearing the costumes their grandmother made for them.  What a lovely idea, Melanie - it was so nice to hear that your gift brought tears of pride and joy along with it!

The girls were absolutely precious… Alice in Wonderland, Tinkerbell from Peter Pan, and Glenda from the Wizard of Oz.

Despite the rainiest conditions we’ve had here since I can remember, we had a wonderful time getting some outdoor shots as well as a whole set of fun studio creations.  (And we even snuck some hot chocolate in there too!)

Emma was such a doll – she has such telling, soulful eyes.

Paige was so much fun – directing us all in our best poses, and quite lady-like!  What a great big sister.

Kasey was a little cutie pie; her new baby sister will be won over with her sweet smile in no time, I’m sure.

Now, I am the mother of two little boys I love dearly, but you can imagine what a treat this was to watch the girls get all frillied up and talk with them in princess voices!  I designed a flowery storyboard for one of the group shots, just for fun.

Thanks so much again Melanie for the privilege of have a “Princess Day”!   Treasure every moment with your beautiful girls, and stay tuned for the next post – I’ll be sharing your Music Video!
