Well hello again, blogging world .
This past year I’ve had the immense privilege of spending more time with our growing family, which has meant bonding with our beautiful youngest daughter, adopted through foster care, along with many social worker visits, doctor’s appointments, and the like. We are so very blessed to have her in our family, and I’d love to introduce her to you sometime!
This transition has meant a bit of a pull back from my normal photography business pace, but I’ve still taken on a select few clients and have been working behind the scenes to create their keepsake custom products. They have all been so understanding about our year, and I love them for it! Now that the adoption is finalized, I’ll be more available for regular portrait sessions and weddings – yay! But this also means I’ll have more time to catch up on the MANY sessions that were “sneak-peeked” the quick way on Facebook (or even just fast-tracked to my clients) instead of having the more involved story-type sneak peek here on the blog. Stay tuned for portraits of the beautiful lives I’ve had the pleasure of documenting in the past year.
One such couple is Bobby and Callie. In listening to them, I could tell their story is one of love that triumphs, new chapters that bring strength, and lives redirected by the grace of God.
They were so easy-going with each other. It was as if the world was all at peace when they were in the other’s arms.
Julian has been a special place for them in the past – in fact they had their first date a couple years ago right in this very park, hiking this very trail.
We shot this as they were talking about their goals and dreams for their future together. A beautiful moment - I was honored to be a silent observer amongst the fall colors on this one .
Overall, there was just this air of joy and peace that my heart always overflows to see.
Sidenote: Callie’s green eyes are AMAZING.
There are just so many images that I love from this session, not just because the couple and surroundings were gorgeous, but because even more beautifully, their love was evident.
I can’t wait to capture your lovely wedding day in April, Bobby and Callie.
Blessings to you both and I’ll see you soon!
Cherish, Love, Remember Always,
When Time Stood Still
