Cherish These Times…

There is nothing quite like sharing a laugh or a cuddle with your boys.  Our neighbor Jessica has two of the most adorable and precocious little boys ever.  Our boys hound her every time she pulls into her driveway, asking if Jayden and Jayse can play.  (Sorry, Jessica!)   Anyway, a lot has gone on in our little neighborhood in the past year, and I think we all have realized just how precious each moment we’re given really is.

I was so happy to capture this special time in their lives, memories Mommy can look back on with a full heart, and portraits the boys can look back on years from now to be reminded how very much they have been loved.

Always safe in Mommy’s arms…

Jessica wanted some shots done for her Facebook page as well.  She is so beautiful!  (and her hair always looks gorgeous – she’s a hairstylist at Lauren Michael’s Salon & Spa in Redlands; can’t wait to let her go to town with my hair!)

As you can see, these boys are seriously cute!

And lastly, a candid, finger-in-the-nose, full-of-laughter family shot…  :)

Thank you so much for sharing this special time with me, Jessica.  I am so thankful for your friendship and of course those cutie pie boys, too!  Can’t wait to show you the rest at your View & Order Session…

An Adventuresome Beauty…

A few days ago I had the privilege of going down to the San Marcos/Oceanside area with Christin and her mother Laura.  We had a lovely time getting to know each other better and exploring a beautiful lake, which was our first stop.

Isn’t she radiant!  Christin has such gorgeous eyes and a beautiful smile.

The day of the shoot, Christin’s serene, peaceful spirit really showed in the ways she carried herself.  But don’t get me wrong, she has a lot of spunk, too!

And a vintage treatment for this next one.  She also has seriously gorgous skin!

The original plan for the day was to shoot mainly at the beach, but when we got there, it was SOCKED in.  I mean pea-soup-fog-style.  Apparently the fog had rolled just about 1/2 mile inland and hadn’t burned off for hours.  Photo shoots don’t always turn out as expected – there are always variables out of our control.  But, this is not necessarily a bad thing… Variety is the spice of life, and I love going with the flow of whatever it is the Lord has in store.   So, we went ahead and shot quite a few keepers, and also later had fun experimenting with some night shots.  I love this one:

Christin, thank you so much for your adventurous spirit and willingness to create with me.  And thanks to you Laura for all your assistance as well.  I can’t wait to get together for our View & Order Session to show you the rest!
